 Le magazine Forbes a une fois de plus placé J.K.Rowling sur sa liste des milliardaires de l’année, avec une fortune estimée à 1 milliard de dollars américains. L’article offre une indication très intéressante quant à la parution du dernier tome de Harry Potter :« L’auteur a eu une année mémorable l’année dernière. En juillet dernier, Harry Potter et le Prince de Sang-Mêlé, le 6e tome de sa série au grand succès, était une immense réussite. Rowling a vendu 60 millions d’exemplaires autour du monde l’année dernière, portant le nombre d’exemplaires des livres Harry Potter vendus à 310 millions. En novembre, Warner Bros. a sorti Harry Potter et la Coupe de Feu, le 4e film Harry Potter, et a inversé la tendance des box-offices décroissants des films Harry Potter. Le film a rapporté 287 millions de dollars aux Etats-Unis, le film le plus lucratif de la série après le premier film. Une source de l’entourage de Rowling a annoncé que le dernier tome de la série sera publié en 2007. Bien que le magazine soit en général digne de confiance, cette information est à considérer comme une rumeur jusqu’à une annonce officielle. Merci VTS! |
| | JK Rowling is once again on Forbes Magazine's list of billionaires this year, with an estimated self-made fortune of $1 billion. The magazine writes: Author had a banner year last year. Last July, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book in her widely successful Potter series, was a huge hit. Rowling sold 60 million books worldwide last year, bringing the tally to 310 million copies of Harry Potter books sold. In November, Warner Bros. released Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth Potter film and reversed a creeping Harry box-office slide. The movie pulled in $287 million in the U.S., the highest grossing film in the series after the debut film. A source in the Rowling camp says that last book in the series will be out in 2007.The last sentence is, of course, a source of keen interest to Potter fans, as Forbes is a reputable publication and as this is in line with Jo's own prediction from last summer. (At the cub reporter press conference over Half-Blood Prince publication weekend, she said, "I think it will be at least another two year wait [until book seven].") Do bear in mind, however, that Jo is still writing the final chapter in the Harry Potter saga, and therefore, no announcement about its release date should be expected for many months to come. |
